I received a nomination from my dear friend Naza Holliman of the blog Sweet P & Sky and accepted the Liebster Award! (Go read her blog about life, marriage, family & adventure here!)
The Liebster Award is an award given to bloggers, by other bloggers. It’s the Screen Actors Guild Award of Blogging. Well, kind of… On a much smaller scale.
One of the requirements for this award, is to post eleven things about myself. So here we go…
11 Things You Did Not Know About Me!
- My husband, Danny & I actually met online in 2005 when Yahoo Personals existed! His brother was eager for him to start dating after his last relationship ended so he started a profile for him and sent me his phone number. I on the other hand didn’t pay for my membership. At that time I felt I would seem too desperate so I had a free trial account! HA! We emailed and chatted on Instant Messenger for awhile, then on the phone. After a few months I decided to meet him in person, still reluctant so I made sure to meet him at a place with a lot of people, the mall! Then we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Olive Garden.
- I don’t stay home all day very often. I like to get out and get some fresh air at least once a day. Once in awhile I will have a ‘lazy day’ in as long as my soul has been satisfied with getting out and about!
- I started wearing glasses in elementary school, maybe around 1st or 2nd grade. Everyone in my family wears them and so does my husband, so we expect our son to also.
- I have a mole on my chest that my husband encourages our son to pretend to eat and calls it a chocolate chip. I adore when he tries to take a bite and I end up getting a kiss on the chest! <3
- My father left when I was 6 years old and remarried when I was about 11 or 12. I found out when a new name appeared on the return address envelope. I’ve never met her and my father passed away a few years ago. I may one day as she lives in Hawaii.
- I’ve traveled to several states on the east coast and now California where we are temporarily living. I’ve been to Puerto Rico, a few caribbean islands & South Korea. The culture in S.K. I admire. They are so kind and respect their elders.
- When our son was born I actually would roll my eyes for the 1st few days when everyone asked his name, “Ethan” because I so badly wanted to name him Noah (although my heart thought she wanted a little girl when I was pregnant.) Now I love his name of course!
- I don’t watch TV often but when I do I love Pitch Perfect, Dirty Dancing, Grease, This is Us, Grey’s Anatomy.
- I didn’t keep a diary for many years since my mom read mine when I was a rebellious teenager. Something I promise I will never to do our children.
- I always sleep in ‘appropriate’ clothes because I’m afraid if there is an emergency I won’t have enough time to get dressed.
- I have this fear that guests that stay in our home accidentally use my tooth brush.
